English:
Alexandre Vernet is well on his way to the heights — in fact, you could quite honestly say he’s already there, since the domaine sits at around 350 metres altitude in Magny-lès-Villers, right on the border between the Haute Côte de Nuits and the Haute Côte de Beaune. He has been régisseur at the domaine since André Hoffmann purchased it back in ’17, and since then he has overseen the conversion to first organic and then biodynamic farming — both certified — as well as the construction of a brand new winery. The beautiful old barrel cellar with its well, however, he has kept exactly as it was. And now the man himself is coming to Denmark for the very first time to present his wines, both in Copenhagen and in Aarhus.
Alexandre and WineInVein are therefore delighted to invite you to a presentation of the full Domaine Hoffmann-Jayer portfolio — 12 cuvées in total:
Wednesday 15 April at Restaurant Udtryk, Teglgårdstræde 8A, Copenhagen — 11:45–13:00
and/or
Thursday 16 April at Restaurant Capo, Ny Munkegade 4, Aarhus — 10:30–12:30
There is of course no charge for professionals, but I do need to know how many of you to expect — both to figure out how much wine to haul along, and so that Teigh and Emil respectively can make sure there’s room for everyone.
In other words: drop me an email at tavs@wineinvein.com and let me know how many you’ll be bringing.
